Tadeas Kula

The initiator of the idea to refresh-the book-sharing market. Self-help books were piling on his desk and he had no way to get rid of them – nicely.

Tadeas is now mainly coordinating the direction bukista.com is heading in and is the one you will probably communicate with.

Nikola Knesplova

Nikola saved us when we were overwhelmed with books and finally brought a much-needed order into the e-shop.

Currently, Nicola is in charge of the pricing-policy, adding interactive descriptions to the book and checking their status.

When we found out how passionately Míša had been recommending our service to those around her, we had to get her on board! She now takes care of most of the deliveries, and she is usually the one you meet during personal handovers. She also likes to take pictures in her free time so, most of our photography was created by Míša.

We said to ourselfs, that we want to have a bigger impact and do more of good to our planet, than we can in our small country. And so the idea of Bukista.com was born.

Curious were we got the name? Well as they say on Wikipedia: “The Bouquinistes of Paris, France, are booksellers of used and antiquarian books who ply their trade along large sections of the banks of the Seine: on the right bank from the Pont Marie to the Quai du Louvre, and on the left bank from the Quai de la Tournelle to Quai Voltaire. The Seine is thus described as ‘the only river in the world that runs between two bookshelves’.”

And we really liked the idea of them and as well being like the river between two readers! So we translated it to our language and we got Bukinista, which was nice, but long! Aaand you probably got it by now 🙂

Btw! They were selling the books in “green boxes” so we are really obsessed with green because that’s also what we connect the trees with.
